Arvada Real Estate
Homes for sale in Arvada bring a multitude of benefits to buyers.
Below are the top eight reasons to live in Arvada.
What makes a school great to a buyer is a personal choice. Taking an online review of a school as your only information is likely a mistake. However, using a good rating from a site like www.greatschools.org is a good starting point. My best advice to anyone shopping for a school is to visit the school. Take a tour, meet some staff and allow your gut to add to the decision process. Ok, disclosures aside, check out the schools online and in person, they are a true asset to homes for sale in Arvada.
Jefferson County prides itself in its open space, parks. Most neighborhoods will have a close community playground or access to a park.
The trail systems with Arvada connect you to Denver and long trail systems like the bike path along Clear Creek, Cherry Creek, and The Platte River. A personal favorite is Ralston Creek. Ralston Creek ends / starts at the intersection of Clear Creek and takes you through a few great parks in Arvada such as The Ralston-Central Park and Memorial Park at 8001 West 59th Avenue. The Ralston-Central Park features my son’s favorite playground. The play features are all new and have a variety of sizes for kids of different sizes and skill sets. There are also a large number of shaded picnic benches perfect for getting large families and groups together. Memorial Park has a great little skatepark and The Johnny Robers Disc Golf Course. Click the map below to see it within google maps and get an overview of each of the pins.
Just drive through Arvada’s quiet streets to see tall mature trees that provide both privacy and great summer shade.
Sold Arvada Single Family Homes average over 2,700 total square feet with an average of 1,700 of them above ground. The average lot size, based on the last six months of sold homes, is just over 9,700 sqft which creates both privacy and opportunity for pets , play areas and gardens.
If you enjoy Colorado’s mountains, Arvada is a wonderful starting point because you are close to Golden and Boulder and you are west of the City of Denver so you are ahead of traffic for the busy days in the mountains.
RTD’s Gold Line will soon whisk you to Downtown Denver allowing you to just enjoy the ride and not think about parking in Downtown Denver. The line is not active yet but very soon. Here is a link to the Gold Line Transit Corridor
Old Town Arvada
Keeping up with the changes and development in Old Town Arvada is pretty hard. Old Town has all the charm of a walkable main street with a great deal of reinvestment in the town. Popular Denver restaurants like Steubens are starting to branch out to Arvada. A favorite shop of mine is Charlie’s Fly Box. They on their game with fly selection and have excellent tips for great fishing all over Colorado.
